With the introduction of the CAPS (The Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statements) the Foundation Phase parents were presented with the new departmental subject and curriculum changes as well as teaching time requirements at a meeting held on 24 January. 44 new children joined the Domino Servite family on 18 January 2012 – 13 Grade R kiddies, 7 Korean learners and 24 South African learners. National Literacy Day also happened at Domino Servite on 8 September. From the start of the day, learners were encouraged to read good books about people who can enrich their lives. Stephan Stegen, Jan Joosten and Jonas Graf won the National Bridge Building competition which took place on 26 August at St Albans College in Pretoria. Their bridge carried a weight of 90 kg. The bridge that won 2nd place carried a weight of 63 kg. {gallery}2011/Term3/NationalBBuilding{/gallery}
