On 4 March the first leg of the 2026 Bridge Building competition was held at school level. Many teams entered bridges, and a tense competition was held in the school hall. The KFC provincial mini cricket festival was hosted at Kingsmead stadium on 14 February. 114 teams from all over the province joined the festival. DSS was represented by 9 little cricketers who thoroughly enjoyed the day and learned many new skills.
