The year end closing for the Pre-primary and Foundation Phase on 28 November was a bright and happy occasion.
Grade 3 girls, Line van Straten and Somkhonza Xhakaza handled the program very professionally. Grade 3 boys, Tristan Muller and Andries van Tonder, did the Bible reading in English and Afrikaans from Luke 10.
11 pre-primary learners graduated from Grade R and 4 foundation phase learners were awarded gold merits for academics this year.
The highlight of the event was the pre-primary ‘brass band’ performance of We wish you a merry Christmas played on their handmade plastic instruments. Needless to say, the DSS brass band concluded the ceremony and showed us how it is properly done.
