A total of 43 athletes from DSS competed in the aQuelle Summer Series TF #1 on 28 January, an event that drew participants from 30 schools in and around the Pietermaritzburg region.
DSS male and female teams achieved 2nd place. Kai Vermaak and Sphelele Memela achieved good XSA scores for the B17 1500m. Kai scored 774 points and Sphelele 753 points. For the B13 Victor Ludorum, DSS boys achieved 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th places. Maybe next time DSS can win that award.
