On 4 March the first leg of the 2026 Bridge Building competition was held at school level. Many teams entered bridges, and a tense competition was held in the school hall. Mayenzeke Mlaba, Masimbonge Mlaba & Kim Stegen won the competition with their bridge which only weighed 97g, carrying a whopping 220kg. 2nd place winners were Andrew and Pieter Greyling with Keegan Witthoft. Their bridge weighed 101g and carried a weight of 180kg. In 3rd place were Sion Park, Emma Schobben & Christina van Tonder. Their bridge weighed 92.6g and carried 120kg. All three teams proceed to the regional competition in Pmb later in the year.
