This year our SP and FET Open Evening was scheduled for 22 August.
The fact that it was on a Friday made it possible for many more parents (and especially those of boarders) to attend. It was a pleasant evening. The main focus was parent-teacher discussions and then, of course, the joys of paging through the child’s books. We grabbed the opportunity to also slot in a parent survey, as well as a PowerPoint presentation by Mrs Pretorius to explain the Grade 9 subject choices. Miss Newlands concluded with interesting statistics concerning absenteeism and a display of the new sports uniform. A boys’ trio catered for something sweet to the ear. And afterwards the stomach got its share too!
