The SAICE National Bridge Building competition took place 30,31 August in Johannesburg.
Nozuko Magqabi, Stephanie Schnitzer and Nicola Wunderlich represented KZN at the competition. The girls built a unique bridge (which was the requirement) which carried 196kg. Unfortunately, they made an error with the internal dimension, making the bridge 4mm too narrow on the inside. This resulted in them being disqualified. Nevertheless, it was a good experience for the team.
