Four schools competed in the Umvoti Quadrangle Athletics competition at Wartburg Kirchdorf on 23 August.
This is always an exciting and challenging competition where these four regional (rival) schools pit their strengths against one another.
DSS won with a total of 178.5 team points and 30 relay points.
Wartburg Kirchdorf came 2nd with 156.5 team points and 40 relay points.
Greytown High School achieved 3rd position with 154.5 team points and 30 relay points.
Hermannsburg achieved 4th position with 66.5 team points and 18 relay points.
DSS athletes achieved 17 first positions out of 44 events. The Boys19 was the only 4x100m relay that DSS won in a time of 48.72.
Congratulations to the Outstanding Achievers: Sehliselwe Hlongwa who achieved U16 Victor Ludorum, Heinrich Marloth and Neliswa Cele and who won the U19 Victor and Victrix Ludorums respectively.
