Senior Phase learners were tasked with constructing a bottle rocket using a 1.5 L aQuelle bottle. The design, including aesthetics, fins and other features, was left to their creativity and personal choice.
The first-place winners from Grade 8, Kay Bosman and Jenna Combrink, achieved an overall score of 81.50. Their rocket cruised a distance of 167.80m and was awarded a score of 63 for aesthetics. Grade 7 learners, Emma Joubert and Mila Vermaak achieved 2nd place.
