August has been a rewarding time in the garden. Many grades have reaped heaps of spinach and lettuce, a substantial number of beetroot and sweet peas. All activities such as harvesting, spraying, weeding and replanting are now the responsibility of the class members, overseen by staff. Maintenance is key and this is recorded by the class scribe in the garden journal.
