Who says business skills can’t start young? Our Junior School Bake Sale was a wonderful success, with 95 enthusiastic young entrepreneurs running 20 selling booths (and the rest of the school, along with parents and teachers, eager to support them), the sellers quickly got to work marketing their delicious treats.
From confidently promoting their products and handling cash transactions to calculating change and managing their stalls, learners gained valuable real-world business experience. They also took responsibility for cleaning up afterwards and, of course, enjoyed sampling some of their own creations! All of this happened within the space of a single break.
