The school gardens had that holiday look at the start of the term, in other words, weeds, weeds and weeds. The learners have been hard at work since clearing the garden and enabling the plants that survived the holiday, to breathe. Yes, even in the hot sun, it can be done.
Once the soil is prepared and cleared, the land will be ready to grow the first summer vegetables. The learners are quite au fait at this already, having had 7 months experience in 2025 managing the garden.
