Closing assembly at the end of Term 1 always has an Easter flavour and this year was no different. Head prefect, Alexander Gideon and Mduduzi Hlongwa handled the assembly program with ease.
The Bible reading from John 17:1-11 was done by matric learners, Ioan-Stefan Vilciu in Romanian and Caleb Schmunk in IsiZulu. The songs sung by the congregation, the whole school and the junior school were beautiful – reminders of the great sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ at Passover.
After the proceedings, the learners were given their Term 1 reports and traditional Beacon marshmallow eggs to send them on their well-deserved Easter break.
