The SACSSA Cross Country event was hosted at DSS on 29 July. 8 provinces were represented namely Eastern Province, Free State, G7, Gauteng, KZN, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Vaal West. DSS did it again at the Provincial Bridge Building competition held at St Charles College, Pmb on 22 July. Emmanuel Meyer, Julian Vermaak and Owen Witthoft took a 4 panel bridge to the competition and it carried a weight of 112kg before breaking. For the first time in history, DSS celebrated World Milk Day on 1 June. Why? Our local dairy introduced a new celebrity, Bonnie the milk cow. Bonnie made her first public entrance at our assembly.
